I won't ever forget the first time seeing Colin playing live at Royal Albert Hall back in 1988. Got to the front and shook his hand. His music has been the soundtrack to many events in my life. A thoroughly talented person and real gentleman. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Now of course when wonderful life came out it was just an amazing song. Soundtrack to a beautiful time of my life, since then water has passed under the bridge. Listening to Colin still brings back those beautiful memories. Thank you RIP

Met up with Colin in Dundee last year at Clark's on Lindsey Street after the gig he and Calum MacColl performed. We had such a splendid night with a warm and wonderful person. My wife and I both shed tears when we learned of his death. It's trite but true to say "at least we have his music". Just wish we could have had more.

I grew up with your beautiful music. Later we got in touch as I translated something for your website... I still have your email giving me the thanks. We even shared friendship through Facebook and the Spanish CV Group. Now its very hard to imagen this without you... But at least Im glad that your music will be next to me for the rest of my life!
