August 2013 – we are beginning a new feature, titled ‘Album of the month’ – where we will feature an album from the Nero Schwarz back catalogue and feature different parts of it over the course of the month. We’ll also have stories from the musicians about the recording of the album, un-used shots from the photo-shoots and any other little snippets we find in the vaults at Black HQ. There’ll also be a discount on both the CD version and the download version of the album for that month.
For August 2013 – the album is: Between Two Churches
The 2005 release was the first album under the Black name since 1993’s Are We Having Fun Yet – the releases in the period between all being under the ‘Colin Vearncombe’ name.
Let us know about your favourite tracks – comment on the album page, write us a message on the Facebook page, Tweet your favourite track. The full album is now up on Soundcloud – where you can comment on the timeline – about your favourite guitar lick, or vocal line.
Keep an eye on this site over the course of the month – we have a treasure trove of content lined up for this month, including un-used shots from the photo shoot for the album, stories from Colin and Calum MacColl (producer of the album) and other musicians on the record.
