I may have been a late coming to Colin's music, but it has still been a strong part of my life.
I have so many found memories of your music. I was honoured to see you live and to meet you several times, and being a small part of Blind Faith is something that I will always treasure. I hope that you were as proud as you seemed with when you played it to us.
All your music is will live on. Gone too soon, but leaving the world a more wonderful place

I so enjoyed knowing and spending time with Colin. We were only able to share time briefly in Ireland and the US, but we always stayed in touch by email and Facebook. While I loved his music and his talent, his good humor and thoughtful conversations - particularly on the topics of music, politics and love - were the things about Colin that will stay with me. You will always have a friend here in the states, someone to show you around if you visit, please stay in touch and tell about wonderful music to hear and stories of Schull. Lisa and I plan to come soon. Wishing you all Much Love, Many Blessings, Lasting Peace, and Warm Serenity and Harmony for all of you - I know you know that Colin left his indelible mark on the planet - and that his crowning achievement were his sons. Saw you a few times from early to late. No voice at Apollo Manchester late 80's and Night and Day Café Manchester 2013. Both magnificent but latter in front of about 50 Colin was in his element. Will be sadly missed. RIP Colin

I've been following Colin's music from the beginning, from Human Features and More Than The Sun, through the Warner years, the Ugly Man years, the A&M years, and the Nero Schwarz years. Great singing, great playing, great tunes and lyrics all the way through. His most recent album Blind Faith is right up there with the best of his releases. Who knew it would be his swan song? Any artist who can remain true to himself and keep doing fine work is a success no matter what the record charts say. I am so grateful for the music of Black. It always has and always will mean a lot to me. My thoughts are with Colin's family now as they celebrate his life and work. Wish I could be there with everybody but at least I can have the music on here at home. We will always have that.
